According to reports in The Mirror, Everton are considering making a move for West Ham United midfielder Pedro Obiang, but they would have to pay more than £15m to do get him.

Toffees boss Ronald Koeman is keen to significantly strengthen his squad this summer as they look to progress in the Europa League next season as well having a strong Premier League campaign, and with doubts over the futures of the likes of James McCarthy and Gareth Barry – as well as Ross Barkley potentially leaving Goodison Park – he is looking for a new central midfielder.

Obiang was one of the Irons’ most impressive performers in what was a disappointing debut season at their new London Stadium home, and a fee of more than £15m would allow the club to make a big profit on a player they signed for just £4.3m from Sampdoria in 2015.

Everton supporters were quick to have their say on the link via social media, with many believing that the Spaniard wouldn’t be an improvement on what they already have.
