Some of the Lukaku’s friends and former teammates rushed to congratulate the striker on his debut.

Interestingly, at the time of writing no members of the current United squad have commented on the post to praise the former Red Devil, while his ex-teammate Daley Blind and his Belgian compatriot Axel Witsel were quick to show their support for the striker.

It is extremely common to see players receive well wishes from their former clubs and teammates on social media, evidenced by Blind’s presence in the comments.

Of course, this isn’t to say that none of his former United buddies haven’t called or texted him to congratulate him on his debut strike, but it certainly is curious that not a single United player felt the need to publicly share their well wishes for the Belgian.
